Dave and list,

I've installed 2.3, patched gnopernicus with Mario's patch and attemping to
use the brl display in gnome.  I get the following:

unable to load authentication key: /etc/brltty/brlapi-key
Error opening brlapi connection
brl_open_device: open device failed
** BRAILLE initialization failed for BRLTTY on port 1  I have a key file
which was creeated by the brltty install.  It looks like a string of hex
characters.  

Also what does port 1 mean? my display is on /dev/ttyS1.
