A control labelled "grip" is likely a point where part of the user
interface can be detached from the main window into a separate
window by dragging with the mouse. I've seldom found a reason
to do this when using a mouse/visual display. It's probably 
even less useful when using brail/speech.

So, if it's not manipulatable via gnopernicus, that's likely
a good thing.
