improved gnopernicus speech

I have not done a lot for a few days, since others have had lots
of difficulty getting started, and my own success was not of much
help in solving their problems. It seemed like my own good
fortune was a fluke.

However - I just now (Nov 15) freshened my copies of gnome-speech
and gnopernicus, and the results are even better speech output
using festival. The numpad problem does not exist!! Although the
numpad still talks to speakup (the text console access package I
am using) it ALSO talks to gnopernicus, so I get this double
speech output effect - my HW synthesizer from speakup and
festival speech from gnopernicus. That is easily solved by
disabling speakup with the 'printscreen' toggle, leaving clean
speech from festival.

I am navigating the menus just fine, but I am a total newbie to
the GUI environment and do not have a lot of savvy about what to
do there.

Bottom line: I guess my implementation was not a fluke, since
after today's upgrade it is working even better than before.

Thanks, Marc and Bill, and Michael, and everyone else hard at
work on this access package.

Chuck
