Thanks to chuck's suggestion, i found that sawfish was not installed. Now i'm
not being told user is not authorized to start x.
festival still not working; i'm told both viavoice and festival failed and then
the festival server is getting started on port (I think 1314 not sure). But I've
got no speech.
