Getting Involved with Braille Accessibility

Hello,
I have just joined this list. Recently, with Dave Mielke, I wrote a Grade
2 translator for brltty. Could this software also be used for Gnome
accessibility?
If not, what other projects might I help with. I have almost 40 years of
programming experience. Much of this experience is with C. Since I am
deaf-blind, I am particularly interested in Braille accessibility.
