This is very true-- don't worry, I wasn't suggesting that we shouldn't
do this! I was just a little concerned that if the focus doesn't go
somewhere you're expecting it to go (in this case, into a column header
rather than the main body of the list itself), the visual indication of
focus can *seem* to have disappeared. A good visual design for the
column header focus indication should of course take care of this.

I quite agree, I'm just somewhat devoid of better ideas at the moment
(that's Friday evenings for you)... I was actually sort of hoping
somebody might have seen this sort of thing implemented for list/table
controls on another platform, because I don't believe I have! Ah, the
joys of being a pioneer... :)
