Hello you lot
I am a Debian 3.0 user and this is the first time I try to compile
gnome-2, so I need some help
After compiling (apparently) succesfully linc-0.5.0, when I do "make
install", I got the following Errors:
-- Installing ./html/index.sgml
/usr/bin/install: can't execute 'stat' on './html/index.sgml': File or
directory not found
make[2]: *** [install-data-local] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory
'/usr/local/share/temp/gnome2/linc-0.5.0/docs'
make[1]: *** [install-am] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory
'/usr/local/share/temp/gnome2/linc-0.5.0/docs'
make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
I got similar errors when compiling or installing ORbit,
bonobo-activation, libbnonobo and so on. So I can't compile the gnome-2
tarballs.
Please, give some help on the correct way for compiling gnome2 packages
(better if you send me some links with documentation related to the
gnome-2 compilation process).
Thanks to all.
