I would be very surprised if a gtkhtml1 port to gtk2 was ready in time
for GNOME 2.0, since it has not started yet and we are 3 months from
our planned ship date.

Unless we are willing to face major schedule slippage, or a miracle
happens, we will have to ship the initial 2.0 release without an HTML
widget.
