(can't remember if anyone has suggested this exact
term, but if they have then I agree with them :-))
Within the current set of nomenclature,
Menu
Launcher
Drawer
Button
I think 'accessory' would fit in nicely.
And as Calum said, especially out side the direct context
of the panel, all these terms need to be prefixed with the
term <panel>.
Panel Launcher
Panel Accessory etc...

P.S. I'm not too keen on the term Drawer, i think Sub-Panel
or just plain Menu would be more descriptived. When I first
parsed Drawer, I thought <files> and that it was someway I
could create a shortcut to a directory...
