	Dude, please read the GConf mailing list archive for extensive
discussion about GConf brokennes from the Bonobo / CORBA perspective. It
just so happens that one of the Sun hackers - Colm was working on GConf at
the time.

	So ... no conspiriacies, he just read a public list and posted
replies, again publicly.

	Well, there has been a feeling among people I know at Ximian that
GConf is insufferably broken, and fixing it is impossible due to profound
differences of opinion on the role of CORBA / Bonobo in Gnome 2.0.

	I'm sorry you feel that way - this is a technicaly motivated
decision, albeit perhaps obscured by a desire not to see Havoc's GConf
design severely criticised publicly.

	I hope that makes things clearer ? and less threatening ?
