gnome_config_* is a deprecated old api. abolutely not being discussed
(other than sometime long tim ago near the begining of the thread) either.
If we don't leave gnome_config_* in and apps use some other non-gconf api
they won't either. Who cares if it's a ini file or a bunch of xml files or
one big flat xml file or a bdb, esp. if every app makes their own choice?
There is a very tangible advantage to going to a solution that allows just
one good way.
