Could you cut-n-paste the code for that static library into Galeon ?

I think depending on that library will be a big pain for everyone.

Another alternative, which might be heresy to the Galeon hackers, is to
simply turn of the feature that requires that library.  Since Mozilla
0.8 should be shipping soon, this would be a temporary measure.
