I was proposing putting it in the actual sources/release directory,
not extra-src (or whatever it's called), although that's another
option.

The purpose of this list is more to make sure the people who are
supposed to pay attention than to keep noise off other lists. However,
I imagine it's OK to keep discussion on just this list since most
people have subbed now.
