we update to glib-2.2.3 from
http://www.gimp.org/~tml/gimp/win32/downloads.html

but still errors:

C:\win32dev\gnet\examples>echoclient-async.exe 127.0.0.1 9999
Error: Could not connect (status = 2)

with echoclient-sync.exe is ok

server is running

C:\win32dev\gnet\examples>echoserver-async.exe 9999
Async echoserver running on 0.0.0.0:9999
