I am not aware of any problems with glib 1.3 (20010301) or gnet snapshot
(20010304). Everything should work perfectly.

I have not done any testing with Windows Whistler Beta1, nor do I have
access to it. Based on your limited description it sounds like it is not a
socket issue but possibly a GTK/Whistler issue. You could try running your
program on Windows 98 and see what happens.

Sorry I could not be of more help. Perhaps someone on the GTK list has an
idea.
