Good news. I really learned to suffer from gnome1's undocumented 
autoconf setup.

I'll look for the right place anyway.

Thank you for sharing your patches. I'll look more deeply into them 
lateron, but wanted to reply quickly.

PS: I'll send some notes about gnome2 support to you I sent to another 
person. Separately to not overstress my luck with mozillas editor.
PPS: Personally I don't have any need for gnome support, yet.
