Hello! Ive modified the gedit-debug.c added 2 global vars and a callback using g_atexit, coded file I/O using GIOChannel. Functional Overview: If you set $export GEDIT_DEBUG_LOGFILE=1 then start gedit $gedit after your session is closed, a file .gedit-2.logfile is written in users home directory with log messages.
