Well, glib isn't only useful for develop Gnome Application (like Gdome2),
isn't a library for graphics, it's a very useful library for everyone that
writes code in C.
Many C programmers include glib for its features even if their
applications aren't GNOME applications.
I think it's very easy to find a glib version for any platform, and I
think it's also very easy to install it also in your system.

Now glib is used by Gdome2 in many modules.

Sorry, but if you want to use Gdome2 you have to install also glib.
