GDM Error

I have a DHCP laptop that I use to hook up to the local network at work. This IP will change continuously depending on the port I use. Below is a snipet of the error that I get. I have searched the web looking or help but have not been able to find anything on how to fix this unless you are using a static IP/HOSTNAME
ERROR BELOW:

Oct 21 15:27:55 localhost gdb[1148]: gdm_auth_secure_display: Error getting hentry for {whatever dhcp name given}

Sorry I can not release the dhcp names given out. They can be looked up against our DNS. I dont want to add all of these entries into the hosts file as I also use the laptop to hook up to other non-work networks. Can someone give me some advice as how to fix this problem?

James
