Had an interesting problem this morning.
Xterms which were connected to Xservers running gdm all were
disconnected at the same time. At least within a minute or so of one
another. Log files contain the following error for each session:
gdm_slave_windows_kill_ioerror_handler: Fatal X error - Restarting
xterm19-pu.util.uplink:0
gdm_slave_windows_kill_ioerror_handler: Fatal X error - Restarting
xterm07-pu.util.uplink:1
gdm[26851]: gdm_slave_windows_kill_ioerror_handler: Fatal X error -
Restarting xterm02-pu.util.uplink:0
gdm[23914]: gdm_slave_windows_kill_ioerror_handler: Fatal X error -
Restarting xterm03-pu.util.uplink:0
gdm[5361]: gdm_slave_windows_kill_ioerror_handler: Fatal X error -
Restarting xterm02-pu.util.uplink:0
gdm[20205]: gdm_slave_windows_kill_ioerror_handler: Fatal X error -
Restarting xterm20-pu.util.uplink:0
gdm[2170]: gdm_slave_windows_kill_ioerror_handler: Fatal X error -
Restarting xterm15-pu.util.uplink:0
Problem occurred across a number of servers and several separate
networks. Again, errors occurred at the same time.
Event occurred around 983547480 seconds since epoch.
OS is RH6.1 and 6.2.
Anyone have any ideas?
