I'm using gentoo-linux and have recently moved from gnome-2.10 to
gnome-2.12. At the first glance everthing seemed to work fine, but i
soon found out that not everthing behaves as expected.
One thing is that the gnome-panel-2.12.2 dies every time i add a new
item to it. The second problem i faced is briefly described at
http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120006 . Both of them vanished
after temporarly moving ~/.gconf to another location and restarting
gnome. However, i decided to restore these directories to get my custom
settings, mainly for evolution, back - unfortunately together with the
mentioned problems. I tried '$ gconf-sanity-check-2', but that revealed
nothing.
Maybe someone in this list can help me to fix my ~/.gconf without
loosing my personal settings ...
Thanks,
Matthias Langer
