What follows the ".." ? Its kind of important - e.g. if you pass in the
path for a source which doesn't exist and you don't have permissions to
create that directory you get:
"Message: Failed: Could not make directory `/etc/gconf/gconf.xml.defaults1': Permission denied"
That's expected behaviour ..
