gconfd error

I have the following in my logfiles:

Jun 28 10:43:01 [gconfd (merrittk-923)] file gerror.c: line 225
(g_propagate_error): assertion `src != NULL' failed

Does anyone know what this means or how I can fix it.
Im running:

gconf 2.2.0, gnome 2.2.1, xfree 4.3.0 on gentoo linux.

google and the archived mailing lists havent shed any light. A kick in the
right direction would be greatly appreciated :)
