nfs locking

Hi!

joshua remix:/win/d/nausicaa1$ gconf-sanity-check-1
Please contact your system administrator to resolve the following problem:
Could not lock the file "/home/joshua/.gconf-test-locking-file"; this indicates that there may be a problem with your operating system configuration. If you have an NFS-mounted home directory, either the client or the server may be set up incorrectly. See the rpc.statd and rpc.lockd documentation. A common cause of this error is that the "nfslock" service has been disabled. The error was "Permission denied" (errno = 13).

My home directory is NFS mounted:

  always:/home on /home type nfs (rw,soft,timeo=2,addr=192.168.2.1)

i am using nfs-user-server 2.2beta47-12 (debian i386) on kernel 2.4.18.

i suspect that i need to switch to nfs-kernel-server. Can you confirm?
