GError: conflicts with glib-2.0

What're the plans to resolve the following :

here
/usr/include/gconf/1/gconf/gconf-glib-public.h:32: redefinition of
`struct _GError'

Is this just a case of 'we aven't ported to glib-2.0 yet'?

If so, what needs doing, who's going to do what, and when might it be
done? ;)
