Hey all.... just so you don't think i asked a bunch of questions to never
be heard from again...
so, a bunch of random stuff:
1) so, do we agree it might be nice to have a user data abstraction?
- if so, i would think something with similar features to gconf
(caching, multiple backends, etc) would be ideal, but with an API
more suited to the task at hand.
2) acap
- read the spec, etc. looks pretty sweet. A couple things i don't
like about their namespace layout, but otherwise looks like it
touches alot of features we'd need.
- there is a sample server, as well as a C and java client api.
Definately would simplify a first cut at an acap system, but i have
no idea how stable or complete they are.
3) i'll probably hack up gnomecard and/or ?? as a way to get a feel for the
api that would be needed, and a proof of concept sorta thing.
