Looks, like your kernel has broken inotify support, and gamin still
detects inotify to be supported. Common issue... *sigh*
Have a look at the Makefile in your bootstrap/gamin dir. Edit this
Makefile and change the line
CONFIGURE_ARGS = $(DIRPATHS) # --disable-dnotify --disable-inotify
to read
CONFIGURE_ARGS = $(DIRPATHS) --disable-inotify # --disable-dnotify
Thus you are manually disabling building the inotify backend. After that
while *still* in the gamin dir run 'make cookieclean' and build gamin by
'make install'.
Gamin now should be happy. After that, just run the command again you
used in the first place to build GARNOME, in the directory you ran it
previously. GARNOME will pick up where it left off.
Note 1: This basically is a straight copy-n-paste from a previous post
of mine, which is in the archive. Just 2 minor corrections. ;)
Note 2: *Please* consider subscribing to the mailing list before
posting. All this manual approval of posts considerably adds to my
support load...
