Hi Calvin,

When building garnome-2.15.90, I met a strange problem.
Use command "make paranoid-install" in "desktop" folder will report following error message that indicate the build was failed.

jade:/home/garnome/garnome-2.15.90/freedesktop/hal/work/main.d/hal-0.5.7/doc
/spec/hal-spec.xml:578:16:E: element "para" undefined

[..]

But when I went to the freedesktop/hal folder and run "make", "make install" here, everything was fine. Then I went back to "desktop" folder and run "make paranoid-install" again. It passed!

Is it a problem of the garnome build system itself? Or because I'm using a dual-cpu box so something was wrong in the parallel building?

The error is rather not related to your hardware config, but produced by jade, which is used by garnome for building docs, as far as I understand. Did you install jadetex? Did you install the docbook packages?
Hi, Stefan,
Thanks for the comments. Below is the jade and docbook packages installed on my box.

[root master ~]# rpm -qa|grep jade
openjade-1.3.2-14
jadetex-3.12-11
[root master ~]# rpm -qa|grep docbook
docbook-dtds-1.0-25
docbook-style-dsssl-1.78-4
docbook-style-xsl-1.65.1-2
docbook-utils-pdf-0.6.14-4
docbook-utils-0.6.14-4

Do I need to upgrade the version of jadetex and docbook?

Thanks.
