The 'please test tarballs before you release' release.

We are pleased to announce the release of GARNOME 2.12.2-pre Desktop and
Developer Platform. This release incorporates all the latest and
greatest stable versions. There have been a lot of updates since the
last stable release.

This is a *pre* release for smoketesting. The actual next stable release
is expected within the next 1-2 days.

We're calling for volunteers interested in smoketesting the Gnome
release -- the first time again using GARNOME for quite a long while.
