Using /home/test/.garnome instead of ~/.gnome2

I have compiled succesfully garnome 2.10.1, but I have also installed gnome 2.4 (build by mandrake). I want preserve the old configuration and I want that gnome 2.10 and his gconf use another configuration files, because I use Gnome 2.4 and gnome 2.10.
What can I do?
