gnome-menu-editor: 28mar05 version just spins & spins

anonymous CVS repository:

* brought up the altered garnome-2.10.0.1 environment

* removed any .config or .local directories in home directory

* launched gnome-menu-editor
The application appears after a moment or two with an hour-glass that
just spins and spins and spins endlessly.

Your environment must be significantly different from the current stable
gnome-2.10.0.1. You should give serious consideration to working from
the latest garnome environment.
