When I try to make paranoid-install on Fedora Core 3 with x86_64, the build dies pretty quickly in Pango this way:

I notice that it seems to be trying to use the 32 bit libraries in /usr/X11R6/lib and not the 64 bit libraries in /usr/X11R6/lib64, which seems to be tied into the XFT_LIBRARY variable.
I didn't see anything obvious in README or gar.conf.mk about tweaking such a setting.
Is there some way to force the garnome build to look in the Right Place for libraries, with pkg-config or something?
TIA,
Phil S.
