Since I run from a command line login [init level 3], I thought I would
trap any messages that were being written to a virtual terminal that I
never look at:
startx > startx.log 2>&1
A quick check shows that startx.log is growing rapidly. An oft repeated
message is
`pango_font_description_get_size (desc) != 0' failed
This message appears over and over with each application that is
running. For example:
(gnome-session:7625): Pango-CRITICAL **: pango_context_load_font:
assertion `pango_font_description_get_size (desc) != 0' failed
(gnome-panel:7823): Pango-CRITICAL **: pango_context_load_font:
assertion `pango_font_description_get_size (desc) != 0' failed
(gnome-terminal:7825): Pango-CRITICAL **: pango_context_load_font:
assertion `pango_font_description_get_size (desc) != 0' failed
(evolution-2.4:7827): Pango-CRITICAL **: pango_context_load_font:
assertion `pango_font_description_get_size (desc) != 0' failed
Thoughts???
