desktop & office, built from 3July05 source, is up and running

I have successfully built 

	./desktop 
and 
	./office 

using source from 3July05.  

I updated source versions from those specified in the 30June05 garball
to what was available on 3July05.  A detailed report to follow.

Onwards to fifth-toe...
