20050630 login problem

I have a login problem for the latest unstable
snapshot.
First it would just crash and revert back to gdm. So i
deleted and remade the "test" home directory, then i
got this error report

No fonts found; this probably means that the
fontconfig
library is not correctly configured. You may need to
edit the fonts.conf configuration file. More

never seen this before, all the other snapshots would
load with out problem, is there some config i need to
change.

p.s. 
all but the evo package compiled in the /desktop
folder
so i though the desktop would work, i will email all
the other build errors later,
