2.9.91: geektoys / gnome-pkgview --- patch voodoo

As Guenther has reported earlier, the patch for gnome-pkgview is broken.
A number of chunks fail when applied by GAR.

I have discovered a workaround, although I have no idea why it works.

* run make
which downloads the tarball and patch, unpacks the tarball, applies the
patch and then stops because the patch fails.

* delete the source ./work/main.d/gnome-pkgview-1.0.6

* replace with "clean" source
  unpack the tarball manually in ./work/main.d

* apply the patch manually

	patch -p1 -b < gar-base.diff

which works [huh??? How can that be???].

* touch cookies/main.d/extract*

* comment out the patch in the top level make file

* run "make install" from the top level make file
  which builds and installs gnome-pkgview

* set up the environment per the README

* run /opt/garnome/bin/gnome-pkgview
  which works.

Do you believe in magic???
