evolution-2.2 plugins:dbus new mail arrival notification

I noticed that evolution-2.2.x offers the option of generating a DBUS
message when new mail arrives. I would think that someone must have
built an evolution plugin GNOME panel applet to exploit this feature.
Anyone on the list have experience with this?
