Build problems ....

It's getting harder and harder to compile Gnome on other platforms than Linux ....

hal - is not possible to compile (required by gnome-vfs, thus Gnome)

libtheora - use getopt_long()

gamin - not possible to compile, use setenv() and getopt_long() and scandir() and alphasort() .....

dbus is possible to compile if the config-script is fooled with a 'pci.ids' file.  What should that file actually contain, and where do I find a description of it, and what program creates it???? :-O

howl - gnu-gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I../../../include -I../../../include/ -I../ -I/opt/gnome-2.8/include -I/usr/local/include -I/opt/sfw/netpbm/include -I/opt/csw/include -I/opt/sfw/include -I/usr/X11R6/include -c address.c -MT address.lo -MD -MP -MF .deps/address.TPlo  -fPIC -o .libs/address.o

Quite a few of these don't live in http://bugzilla.gnome.org, where should problems like these above be addressed??

Cheers,
Jonas
