You could symlink or copy /etc/rc.d/init.d/functions if you wanted to.

Test 2 is tomorrow.  Test 3 comes out a couple of weeks after that. 
Test 2 will have both D-BUS 0.22 and I belive a CVS version of HAL along
with all the other goodies.
