problem with nautilus/mime/images/eog

Hello,

I just built garnome-2.8.0 on SuSE-9.1.  I can no longer open "jpg"
images with eog.  I get a message saying I should rename to "jpeg".  Any
clues where to fix this problem.

Also, in garnome-2.6.2, I had a "view as photo collection" option in
nautilus.  It appears to be an integration with gthumb.  Anyone have
this working?
