hello,

i used your suggestions with fixing the XML::Parser problem and it
worked.  thanks for your help and if i get and perl dependency problems
in the future, i'll be sure to try that first!

so off i went, compiling more code until it got very late and i decided
to goto sleep.  my computer was happily grinding its disk to powder as
it continued to install garnome, but when i woke up another error had
occurred
