It gets laggy. Inconsistently. When using vim inside gnome-terminal.
Usually for some time after rebooting it's fine, then after some time,
scrolling in the top 40% or so of the terminal's height (I've done
extensive testing on this), the cursor is really slow to jump around.
In the lower 60% of the terminal (in vim) the cursor moves normally - as
in, no lagginess, no jumping - it happily keeps up with my keyboard
repeat rate.
