cat not found /usr/lib/libjpeg.la

Hi,

I am trying build garnome the first time. I got following error messages. Our libjpeg.la is actually at /sbcimp/run/pd/jpeg/6b/lib, We have -L/sbcimp/run/pd/tiff/3.5.7/lib specified, but libtool still try to find /usr/lib/libjpeg.la, what should I change to get it looking for just libjpeg.la.
