1. Are you installing as root? (bad idea)
2. Are you installing in /usr? (really bad idea)

If the answer to the above is 'yes' then you should go back to the
Garnome home page and re-read the instructions.

3. Is there a reason why you want to DOWNGRADE Gnome? FC2-test1 fully
updated via up2date or yum has a NEWER Gnome then garnome-0.31.1. FC2
also has lots of tweaks and features that the generic Gnome (Garnome)
does not have. Do you have a special reason for installing Garnome?
