I have searched the archive found the following message that give a fix
to a very similar error:
http://mail.gnome.org/archives/garnome-list/2003-September/msg00275.html

they are saying that .la file are not used and that they should be
removed. I did remove all the .la file from the /usr/lib but it didn't
fix the problem. I got the same error message with a different library.

I have tried to go to control center directory and do a build from there
but I got the same error message.

I'm new to this so I'd be very grateful if somebody could give somebody
explain to me what is the problem and give me a fix?

cheers

Nicolas
