Re: Error compiling gnome-vfsmm-2.5.0

tried installing the rpm you suggested, made no difference - compile still exited with the same errors as before.

any other ideas? I would upgrade to garnome-0.30, but im on dialup - does anyone have a guess at the amount of additional downloading (MB) of packages necessary to bring 0.29.1 upto 0.30?

thanks

Try upgrading your binutils:

ftp://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/updates/1/i386/binutils-2.14.90.0.6-4.i386.rpm

Then run 'make paranoid-install' again.
