If you go into the subdirectories of the garnome package, you will notice directories for each module. The Makefile in each directory stores information such as the version number. If you were to change the version number, it would use that version, however you also have to update the checksums.

since i downloaded all source from gnome of 2.60 before try to install. i feel like it's useless. because
it restart downloaded some previous version, but 2.60.
