Garnome doesn't use your systems libxml2. It should have built it
itself. Look in garnome-0.27.1/gnome/libxml2.

You might want to do what Michael suggested and rebuild libxml2 in
garnome. cd into garnome-0.27.1/gnome/libxml2 and do a 'make clean &&
make install'
