RE: Failure on garnome 0.26.2 on RH9

I forgot to add one more line from the output.  It looks like it's
complaining about "XOpenDisplay" in -lX11.  I don't know what that is, does
anyone else?  I wish it were as simple as a RH RPM that just need to
install...

Seems very strange,  I have no experience with RH9 though.

The error message you ahd posted earlier says:

configure: error: *** libX11 not found. Check 'config.log' for more
details.

Did you check config.log? What does it say?
