Thanks, that worked!

Luckily, I hadn't nuked my samba source directory yet, and so I still had
the libsmbclient.h file available.

On a side-note, it's kinda strange that default samba compilation would not
include this file.

Just had a very similar problem (no libsmbclient.h in any of the
Mandrake 9.1 RPMs).

Solved it with the help of Bob Kashani: It turned out, copying the
libsmbclient.h file into /usr/include was sufficient to make
gnome-vfs-extras happy.


So, as you built from source yourself, you very likely will have that
file. HTH
